From Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, November 1, 2026, the Mart in Rovereto will host the exhibition «Di quadro in quadro. L’arte della citazione». A fascinating journey through continuous references within the art world, developed around a central idea: art history can be read as an evocative and ongoing sequence of ‘covers’, where shapes and themes from the past travel through time to constantly renew themselves.
Through 150 works and nearly 80 artists, the exhibition explores art history as a complex stratification of visual memories.
The exhibition features two works by Ugo Nespolo alongside major artists such as Giacomo Balla, Felice Casorati, Salvador Dalí, Giorgio de Chirico, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, Andy Warhol, Ai Weiwei, and many others.
