THE STUDIO

The Studio: Locus Vivens
An artist’s studio takes shape as a tangible projection of their approach to work, to the point of becoming a living work of art itself. It shapes and articulates the symbolic language through which the artist expresses their vision and engages in dialogue with the world.

Materia et Innovatio
Atelier Nespolo is a crossroads of tradition and innovation, where art and technology coexist in a creative laboratory in the heart of Turin.
Ugo Nespolo’s atelier is a vibrant entity in the heart of Turin, both a creative workshop and an exhibition space. This hub of artistic production embodies a synthesis of tradition and innovation, evolving alongside the contemporary world. Alongside acrylic paints, wood, fine papers, and inks that shape paintings and drawings, the studio houses technological tools such as printing plotters, 3D printers, and digital applications—evidence of an approach that embraces the future without abandoning the material foundations of art.
A distinctive feature of the studio is the cinema room, where Super 8 analog cameras interact with advanced digital filming and editing systems, creating a seamless continuity between past and present in visual language. In this sense, the atelier is not just a physical space but a crossroads of temporalities and languages—a living laboratory of creativity.
A dynamic space that merges tradition and innovation, where different artistic forms coexist and evolve in harmony with new technologies.

Beyond the variety of creative expressions, it is the dialogue between decades that gives the atelier its historical dimension—an interwoven narrative, rich with meaning, where eras overlap and intersect in a continuous exchange of influences and reflections.
Every field explored by Ugo Nespolo’s art finds its own place within his atelier, which serves as a “home” for the master’s many artistic expressions. Arte Povera, cinema, painting, and sculpture not only coexist but intertwine, creating a space that becomes a synthesis of diverse artistic dimensions—a place where each language finds its identity and enriches the others in return.
